Teaching Philosophy

Two concepts anchor my pedagogy activities—attention and teamwork. Informed by these concepts, I design the writing classroom as a space where students can develop institutional literacy, practice rhetorical analysis, reflect on their goals in pursuing higher education, and cultivate a sense of belonging at the university. Declaration of the Use of Generative AI & Labor Statement

Generative AI may be used for specific and appropriate purposes in the writing process for my class. Students must honestly fill out the form of “Declaration of the Use of Generative AI & Labor Statement” for each major assignment and record their labor hours in completing the task.
